Everytime when I am at Livorno, I stop and stare at small green windows in the ordinary and modest apartment. It's place where Amedeo Modigliani was living and growing up. Times are changing but women remain the same. They always want to look beautiful in the eyes of a man. Amedeo often was painting his beloved Jeanne. Their lives and their love story were much more dramatic then calm and peaceful Modigliani's portraits, but that's how he seen her and it's beautiful. I looked closer all the "Modigliani's Ladies" and I prepared makeup inspired by portraits of this great, italian painter.
Ogni volta che mi trovo a Livorno, mi fermo ad osservare delle piccole finestre verdi di un modesto e ordinario appartamento. E' il posto dove ha vissuto ed è cresciuto Amedeo Modigliani. I tempi cambiano, ma le donne restano sempre le stesse. Oggi come ieri vogliono apparire belle agli occhi degli uomini. Amedeo ha ritratto spesso la propria amata Jeanne. Le loro vite e la loro storia d'amore è stata molto più drammatica di quanto i ritratti calmi e pacifici lascino intendere, ma è così che lui la vedeva ed è bellissimo. Ho guardato da vicino tutte le "Donne di Modigliani" e ho preparato un makeup ispirato ai ritratti di questo grande pittore italiano.
