- Ciao Paulina, ti ho visto arrabbiata ieri e ho pensato: farò i miei biscotti e berrò un thè con te.

- Dolly, we are reaching Himalayas of hypocrisy last days, I really can't stand saying certain things. Now it's forbidden or wrong to do a makeup.

- Oh, really?

- Dolly, stiamo raggiungendo le vette dell'Himalaya dell'ipocrisia in questi giorni, e davvero non posso sopportare certe cose. Adesso è proibito o sbagliato fare il trucco.

- Davvero?

- Really. I can't stand singers, bloggers or "artists" talking about their "Natural Beauty" only because someone has paid them a publicity of a face cream or maybe they becomed mothers and simply can't makeup themselves anymore like it was before. Am I right Dolly?

- Right!

- And then I am asking myself, why a singer has to become a "Natural Beauty Specialist"? I will tell you Dolly why, because of moneys. They are selling their naked faces in tv talking about "strenght", and for me it's a nonsense.

- Don't be so angry honey, take one more cookie.

- Let's be honest, each of us is looking much better with a drop of makeup. It's so easy not do to anything trying convince the others that it's the right way. It's a big art to know how to makeup ourselves. And I am learning it every day taking all the risks and time.

- But you know what, people may think you are superficial and vain.

- That's people's problem, not mine. Most of my life I was wearing a bare face, in my highscool and University was forbidden to put makeup, but when you become an adult woman your world changes, you don't have to go outside like Mother Nature has made you and no, you are not looking great. A woman after thirty often is tired, didn't sleep well and often has hormones problems. Why I should show my tired and "sick" looking face to the others? I don't understand.

- Me either. I think most of woman think like you, but are afraid to admit it.

- I know! It's not a sin to put your lipstick on. My grandma was wearing it proudly every day and it wasn't so easy to get them. Every day she was making an effort to be the best version of herself. You just need to find the right balance. If showing your "natural face" (in the right light of course) is your life success then I am really sorry for you. At both of my Universities I've met super educated and intelligent woman professors, doctors that always liked to underline their femininity with a drop of lipstick or mascara and I can't see anything scandalous in that. It's not a sin trying to be pretty. I will tell you more.

- The world is plenty of young woman with really several illnesses that every morning put an effort to wash their hairs, dry them, do some makeup although their hands are shaking or muscles are weak and the bathrooms of their houses are not always very comfy. This is the real strenght. Not replaying to the camera what face cream to use because someone has paid you to say that. Am I right Dolly?

- You are right, but you know how today's world is. Money make the world go round.

- That's OK, but let's not do the art of that!

- Davvero. Non sopporto i cantanti, le bloggers o altri "artisti" che parlano della loro "Bellezza Naturale" solo perché qualcuno gli ha pagato la pubblicità della crema viso o forse sono diventate madri e semplicemnte non posso truccarsi come facevamo prima. Ho ragione Dolly?

- Sì!

- E poi mi sto chiedendo perché una cantante diventa una "Specialista di Bellezza Naturale"? Ti dirò io perché Dolly, per i soldi. Vendono i loro volti nudi in tv parlando della "forza", e per me è senza senso.

- Non essere così arrabiata tesoro, prendi un altro biscottino.

- Siamo sinceri, tutte noi stiamo meglio con un filo di trucco. E' così facile non fare nulla e provare a convincere gli altri che sia giusto. E' un'arte sapersi truccare bene. E io sto imparando ogni giorno, prendendo rischi e investendo tempo.

- Ma sai cosa, la gente potrebbe pensare che sei suprficiale o vanitosa.

- E' un problema della gente non mio. La maggior parte della mia vita portavo il viso "nudo", perché nel mio liceo e Università era proibito truccarsi, ma quando diventi una donna adulta il tuo mondo cambia, non devi uscire fuori come Madre Natura ti ha fatto, e no, non stai bene davvero. Una donna dopo i trent'anni spesso è stanca, non ha dormito bene e spesso ha problemi con gli ormoni. Per quale motivo deve mostrare al mondo o agli altri un viso che sembra malato? Non capisco.

- Nemmeno io. Penso che la maggior parte delle donne pensa come te, ma ha paura di ammetterlo.

- Lo so! Non è un peccato mettere il rossetto. La mia nonna lo portava fieramente ogni giorno e non era così facile reperirli. Ogni giorno faceva lo sforzo di essere la migliore versione di se stessa. Si deve solo trovare il giusto equilibrio. Se mostrare il tuo volto "al naturale" (ovviamente nella luce giusta) è il più grande successo della tua vita, allora mi dispiace. In tutte e due le Università ho incontrato donne colte, intelligenti, professoresse e dottoresse che sempre amavano sottolineare la loro femminiltà con un filo di rossetto o con il mascara e non vedo nulla di scandaloso in questo. Non è un peccato provare ad essere carine. Ti dirò di più.

- Dimmi Paulina.

- Il mondo è pieno di donne giovani con malattie gravi che ogni mattina impegnano le proprie forze per lavare i capelli, asciugarli, fare qualche trucco, nonostante le loro mani tremino o i muscoli siano deboli e i bagni nelle loro case non sempre sono confortevoli. Questa è la vera forza. Non ripetere di fronte ad una telecamera che tipo di crema usare perché qualcuno ti ha pagato per dirlo. Ho ragione Dolly?

- Hai ragione, ma sai com'è il mondo di oggi. Sono i soldi che fanno girare il mondo.

- Va bene, ma non facciamo di questa cosa un'arte!

- Vuoi un altro biscottino?

- Sì, grazie che sei venuta, mi sento molto meglio! E il vero problema è che Mike dai Campi Antichi ha dimenticato chi sono ...
